Hey Catos: Hi, I’m Sarah — a writer, teacher-at-heart, and lifelong explorer currently navigating the wide-open terrain of midlife. After years of homeschooling my kids and living a nomadic lifestyle, I’m stepping into a new season where my time is (mostly) my own — and so are the questions I’m asking: What brings me joy now? How do I want to grow? How can I serve? What does God want for this next chapter? Midlife Sarah: An Exploration is where I share what I’m learning along the way — from books to gardens to travel to faith. It’s a space for curious women who are finding their footing in the middle years of life and want to do it with honesty, hope, and humor. I don’t have it all figured out. But I do love sharing what I learn.

Welcome to our blog! Our family traveled the US in our Arctic Fox RV from 2016-2021 and recently settled in Idaho! I started this blog as a way to document our travels and share the adventure with family and friends. Previously I kept two homeschooling blogs that ended up as part personal journals. I've compiled all of those old posts and added them to this blog.
